On November 30th, the 41st president, George H.W. Bush passed away at the age of 94 years old.  Bush died in his Houston home less than 8 months after his wife died at the age of 73.

Washington, D.C., held several ceremonies this week to honor George H.W. Bush and his life.  He was remembered as a patriot and a dedicated man.   The funeral will be held at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, the same church where Barbara Bush’s funeral was held in April.  He will be buried at his presidential library next to his late wife, Barbara, and late daughter, Robin.

Bush was remembered as “America’s last great soldier-statesman” by biographer Jon Meacham, one of four people delivering eulogies.

His casket was ‘beneath paintings that tell the story of our land and liberty … flanked by statues of his fellow champions”, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said in remarks in the brief ceremony there Monday afternoon.  Former President George W. Bush, became very emotional as McConnell spoke.
